First of all, I hope I got everyone's name right. If there's a mistake somewhere PM me and I'll fix it. Also apologies in advance for some blurry pictures and blurrier grammar.

Nordic Open Tournament, where people with unpronounceable names battle it out.

Bild

This event was initially a throwdown between Sweden and Finland, but after both Austria and Germany had shown an interest in sending some brawlers over and school us in the way of pewter warfare the tournament became open for anyone. The seven round battle between four nations was to take place in the town of Turku located in the almost civilized parts of south Finland.

We were a rabid team of ten from Sweden who traversed the treacherous Baltic Sea in order to deliver the pain. Like our ancestors, we did it by boat and the conquest would have to be done slightly hung over. I brought my Skorne along for the ride. As before any event with hardcore painting requirements (or härdcörë as we say over here in umlautnavia) I spent more time painting than play testing before the tournament but managed to get some games in at least with each list.

Master Tormentor Morghoul
* Cyclops Brute
* Bronzeback Titan
* Molik Karn
* Titan Gladiator
Paingiver Beast Handlers (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Paingiver Beast Handlers (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (Leader and 1 Grunt)
Agonizer
Feralgeist

Morghoul is by far my favourite warlock but I still have trouble with activation order and positioning. My play style with him is usually attrition but of course I bring good ol' Karn for assassinations.

Supreme Aptimus Zaal & Kovaas
* Basilisk Krea
* Molik Karn
* Titan Gladiator
Nihilators (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Paingiver Beast Handlers (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (Leader and 1 Grunt)
Hakaar the Destroyer
Saxon Orrik

Not too sure about this and I didn't get to playtest it properly. Krea is mainly for protecting the Nihilators on the way forward together with the Swamp Gobbers but she can be an ok late game piece with either Awakened Spirit or Last Stand. I think Hakaar is enough on his own and don't take other Ancestral Guardians at this point level. He's usually the guy who gets Inviolable Resolve and turtles his souls for ARM 23. Saxon is the budget version of Tyrant Commander for pathfinder shenanigans and can do a number on enemy warbeasts with Last Stand up. The list puts tusk to face in a very unsubtle manner but can really surprise the opponent if they havn't experienced Last Stand on feat turn.

Bild

Match 1 vs. Ville Toiviainen

First match was against Ville with Khador in the Overrun scenario. It was either Strakhov or eSorscha so I went with Zaal since Morghoul tends to die to boosted attack rolls from Kovnik Joe and his Winterguard posse. I think I win the roll and deploy my heavies slightly off center to avoid a forest.

Bild

Sorscha deployed in the center on the other side with Uhlans on one flank and Winterguard on the other. His list in full was:

Kommander Sorscha
* Beast-09
* War dog
Iron Fang Uhlans (Leader and 4 Grunts)
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts)
* Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard
* 1 Winter Guard Infantry Rocketeer
Winter Guard Mortar Crew (Leader and Grunt)
Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich
Yuri the Axe

Bild

Bild

We're off! Swamp Gobbers lead the advance and connect smoke to the forest so I can hide my stuff. Saxon shows the Nihilators hidden trails and they position themselves within just enough underbrush to get concealment and prepare for the rushdown.

Uhlans and Yuri jog down one flank and the Winterguard take up position behind a small wall on the other. The Mortar aims and hits a Nihilator right in the face and he fails his tough roll. Hakaar isn't close enough to really care.

My turn again. I get Last Stand up on the Nihilators and two of them charge the Winterguard with the rest running to engage. With Iron Flesh, Bob & Weave and bonus from the obstacle I need to roll twelve to hit and fail both my rolls. I want to keep up the pressure on that flank so I rush Molik, trample him through the forest and Fate Walks to hold the scenario with the Krea close behind. Hakaar and Gladiator stays in place behind smoke to deal with the Uhlans if they try to run down Zaal.

Bild

Bild

Winterguard shuffles around a little and then starts spraying the Nihilators. I make a few tough rolls but with cleaver positioning from Ville I'm left with just a single Nihilator. The Mortar manages another hit and Beast-09 moves in closer together with Yuri and the Uhlans.

Payback time. I could probably get a lane to Sorscha if I remove a Winterguard but their defense against ranged and magic makes it very improbable. Krea tries to debuff one of them but needs to roll 17 to make the hit so I go for the double six instead but fail. With nine guys in the grave and Beast in range of Karn I decide to try and take him out while getting closer to Sorscha instead of trying an assassination. Zaal keeps Last Stand on the little Nihilator that could, feats and moves up with the help of Saxon to Rush and Inviolable Resolve Molik.

Molik takes off like a one-eyed rocket and does his thing with the help of some ancestral rage. Beast bites the dust and Kovnik Joe who was chilling close by follows him shortly. With plenty of tokens left the Nihilator charges in and berserks away four or five of the Winterguard.

Bild

With much of the ranged threat gone or tied up the Swamp Gobbers run to protect much more valuable pieces with their frail but evasive bodies.

Bild

Hakaar and Gladiator advances towards Sorscha and that's the end of my action turn.

Bild

Yuri kills the closest gobber. Sorscha feats and charges Molik hoping for the freeze. Three boosted attacks later with no critical he's roughed up but not terrible and there are only a few winterguard nearby together with the mortar and War Dog that shouldn't dent him. Except the War Dog is the best pooch an ice witch could ever wish for:

Bild

Damage lands 6,6,5 and Molik is turned into a fine red mist when Lassie chews through him lika a wood chipper. Winterguard go for the Krea but have a hard time doing anything without Joe. Uhlans charge the elephant, knock him down and do some damage.

My turn again. Krea ties down the Winterguard and manages to take one out. The Titan and Hakaar goes after the Uhlans and the bravest Swamp Gobber charge Yuri to avenge his fallen friend.

Bild

Bild

Uhlans knock down the Titan again but doesn't finish him. Sorscha gets closer and fires on Hakaar. A little too close. She's now in range of the fury of the Ancestral Guardian and on my turn I slap Last Stand on him and charge in. Three attacks later the khadorian bites the dust.

Bild

Match 2 vs. Sampo Mäntylahti

Next match was against the Retribution in the scenario Gaining Ground. Both lists were fairly 'jack heavy so I went with Morghoul to put some high armour on the field in addition to his denial feat and the Agonizer. Rahn hit the field on the other side with the rest of the mitten platoon:

Adeptis Rahn Shyeel
* Chimera
* Phoenix
Dawnguard Sentinels (Leader and 9 Grunts)
* Griffon
* Dawnguard Sentinel Officer & Standard
House Shyeel Battle Mages (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Arcanist
House Shyeel Magister
Mage Hunter Assassin

Bild

Bild

I win the roll and opt to go first since I want a fully functioning Agonizer by my second turn. Filling a tortured baby elephant with suppressed rage by maltreating your cyclops bodyguard is the high point of the working day for any master tormentor. I press forward with my stuff ready to contest the middle zone by the next round.

Bild

Sampo advances cautiosly with the Phoenix on my left flank, the Chimera on the right and some sentinels in charge position.

I take it pretty chill on my second turn. I start by moving and smoking with the gobbers with an arcnode hating Agonizer just behind. The heavies move up close to him and the other stuff hangs back except for one of my Paingiver units who run forward to contest the zone and protect the more important stuff.

Bild

Sampo moves in. The Phoenix shoots Molik and the Chimera runs to get an angle on the Bronzeback for a possible Force Hammer. Sentinels and Griffon go for the Paingivers and take them out. Rahn activates but the Chimera is within the Agonizer's denial aura. Molik gets the Force Hammer instead and between this and the initial shot his Spirit is broken on top of being knocked down. I'm not too happy about that.

Bild

Bild

Bronzeback gets furious and decides to hate on the Chimera. He bellows and crashes right in. The node is in really bad shape but still alive after my initial attacks so I go for the two-handed throw into the Magister. It works out perfectly with both of them gone, but the Bronzeback is now within charge distance of several Sentinels and the Assassin.

With one node down I move the Agonizer to the other side to choke the Phoenix. The Gladiator wails on the Griffon but doesn't accomplish very much. I hold off on the Sentinels to avoid triggering Vengeance shenanigans. Molik gets a band aid on his morale and advances to hold the zone.

Bild

The Sentinels really commit. Four of them charge the Bronzeback while the rest go for the stuff in the middle. Daddy Titan takes the beatings with a grin on his face with 19 boxes left until the Assassin thunders in. She must have taken lessons from Sorscha's canine companion because the damage lands 6,5,5,5 for a grand total of 22. At least the Feralgeist gets a new home.

Bild

In the center my Brute goes down together with the last Swamp Gobber but Gladiator stays with a whole lot of Sentinels bunched up close. Molik finishes the Griffon, the reanimated Bronzeback manages to take out two or three Sentinels and Morghoul claws his way through the rest of the infantry and sprints into the wreck of the former Griffon with Admonition up. I feel like I'm in a pretty good shape and Fate Walk Molik forward a bit with the intention of feating and going for Rahn next round. Biggest mistake ever that cost me the game.

Bild

Rahn charges his own Arcanist, feats and casts Telekinesis on Karn right next to Morghoul. Force hammer follows and now my warlock is knocked down with other stuff in range which usually means game over. Crap. He's also TK'd out of the wreck. The mittens squad walks up and finishes the job.

Bild

;_;

Match 3 vs. Tero Särkijärvi

No time for tears. Next game was against the Circle and I went with Morghoul again because his Krueger list made the Nihilators feel a little awkward. Baldur plopped down on the other side with his stone buddies:

Baldur the Stonecleaver
* Woldwatcher
* Megalith
* Woldwarden
Sentry Stone (Leader and 3 Manikins)
Shifting Stones
* Stone keeper
Shifting Stones
Stoneward and 5 Woldstalkers
Stoneward and 5 Woldstalkers
(Tier 4)

I lose the roll. All of his stuff gets to deploy really really far forward which makes me a little nervous.

Bild

All of this stuff has Advance Deployment with the Sentry Stone as far as 20". The stone shrimps get Advance Move.

Bild

Still, I'm pretty confident I can handle the pressure with my feat if he should rush in.

On his first turn he presses everything forward. Most of it is the center together with Baldur. A Woldwarden is going for the flag on my right. For guys made of rock, they're kinda fast and in my face.

Bild

Shrimps on my left. They're painted really purdy.

Bild

Not much to do but press forward. Gobbers leads as usual and puts smoke before Molik. Morghoul gets Safeguard and is placed well away from the forest with two Paingivers blocking LOS to him.

Bild

Tero goes for the Gladiator. Between Earth Spikes and the shrimps he goes down. Baldur feats to make it harder for me to get to the objectives.

Bild

Gladiator is gone but I think I can get to Baldur anyway with Train Wreck. I try to measure the distance but it seems the shrimp herder is a millimeter or so out of reach. I run the Feralgeist up instead to Side Step off of instead before I realize I could have reached another grunt instead.

I go for it anyway, but after careful measuring, navigating around my own Feralgeist and a few attacks I realize I won't make it and retreat with Molik into the relative safety of Morghoul's feat.

Bild

By now I realize I've mixed up the scenario with an old one. I thought you needed to score once on the right flag and then two times on the left to win, but you only need three total after you score on the first flag. At least the end comes quick after my terrible attempt at an assassination run. I got really caught off guard by the speed of the list and I was probably in a bad position right after my first turn where I needed to push further. Die and learn.

Match 4 vs. Andreas Engström

The final match for the day is against one of my own countrymen. It seems we have a disagreement about flags. I will face either Strakhov or eSorscha so I go with Zaal to not risk multiple boosted Winterguard sprays to Morghouls frail body (heh). Andreas goes with the ice witch.

Forward Kommander Sorscha
* Beast-09
* Devastator
* War dog
Kayazy Assassins (Leader and 5 Grunts)
* Kayazy Assassin Underboss
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts)
* Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard
* 1 Winter Guard Infantry Rocketeer
Koldun Lord
Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich

Bild

Bild

Assassins goes on one flank and Winterguard on the other. The rest turtle up behind a wall.

I do the usual thing. Lead with Swamp Gobbers and protect the Nihilators with the Krea and Inviolable Resolve.

Bild

The bonded Devastator runs up with Winterguard carefully advancing behind it. ARM 25 which freezes stuff is a little iffy to deal with but I have a plan. As usual with Skorne it involves Molik Karn. With Enrage he's at P+S 15 and his boosted attacks should do about 4-5 damage each. If I sidestep back on the last initial and Fate Walk I should be very safe and take out a column every turn until Andreas reacts.

Said and done. I roll fantastically on the first damage roll and the second one takes out the left arm, well beyond my expectations. I take the opportunity and go in with my Nihilators as well. With a few more good damage rolls the right arm goes as well. Khadorian steel buckles under the pressure of tempered flesh and above average rolls.

Bild

The guys get frozen and I know that Freezing Grip will follow soon after to shut down the entire unit. What I didn't expect was that the Devastator would Bulldoze its way up to Karn after having gotten Boundless Charge cast on it. It opens up and brings Molik to very little health due to Sorscha's feat and a really high damage roll of its own. The Winterguard follows closely and unloads on him but with help from the Krea he's left stading with two lives left. Every single Nihilator is wiped out. Guess I got a little keen there with them, but doing damage on a Devastator with guys in skirts is just so plain fun!

Bild

Hakaar gets in a righteous rage from seeing his buddies go down and cuts the Deva but doesn't take him out. I want to clear him out of the way to get a lane to Beast so I activate him normally and he does his thing while keeping some of the Winterguard in place. Karn gets healed and rushed and Zaal feats. Beast goes down from the onslaught of the bestest ancestor-fueled cyclops chieftain.

Andreas presses on with Winterguard and Kayazy closer to Zaal. Winterguard does some shooting but the Krea does her job of protecting the squishy bodies around her. Unsurprisingly, Karn finally goes down.

Bild

I've got a shot on an assassination run. Hakaar is in range but is bogged down by Winterguard. She's also stading behind a wall with her dog close so she's at DEF 20 against him. Still, with Last Stand up I should get two or three attacks in. The plan is to Hex Blast him in the back, roll seven on the damage on one of the Winterguard before him on pure luck and boost against the other two to make the fury last.

Bild

The Gladiator moves up and throws an assassin at the underboss, knocking him down but he makes his tough roll. This also frees Saxon who can't get a shot at the dog but he puts a bullet in the Underboss who makes his tough roll yet again. This is where my dice start to fail me. I can't roll five to get the Hex Blast on Hakaar and it deviates the wrong way. Zaal goes to shoot the Underboss with his laser eye but, you guessed it, he passes another tough check (PP plz fix tough). With so many assassins still able to reach my warlock things start to look pretty grim.

Bild

Underboss mini-feats, Assassins rush in and stabs Zaal. I have enough fury to transfer the damage but I'm left in a bad shape. Titan turns around but is unable to remove more than one Assassin with all of his boosted attacks, and Zaal has no luck either.

Bild

Game ends next turn when the beasts don't have enough boxes left to soak the damage.

Although two of my losses were very close I wasn't really keen about my 1-3 result on the first day, but a nice lager and a wholesome burger with some other fighters from Team Sweden put me back in my happy mood.

Bild

There were sadly no soothing sauna later in the evening but we got to try Pine Extract Liquor. The label said it contained Shaman Spirits and it tasted like tar and molasses. The finns are probably weaned on this stuff.

Bild

Match 5 vs. Teemu Pesonen

New day, new chance to redeem glorious Sweden! Fortified by a sturdy bacon and egg breakfast I get paired against another paragon of the Khadorian motherland in Process of Elimination. He's bringing either Old Witch or eSorscha. Even though I'm wary of the Winterguard with Morghoul and my Zaal list is pretty strong against shooting I have the urge to swarm the control zones with heavies and trample squishy mans into the ground so I go with the master tormentor yet again. Zevanna picks up the gauntlet on the other side.

Zevanna Agha, the Old Witch of Khador
* Decimator
* Destroyer
Greylord Ternion (Leader and 2 Grunts)
Greylord Ternion (Leader and 2 Grunts)
Kossite Woodsmen (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Kossite Woodsmen (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Manhunter
Manhunter
Yuri the Axe
(Tier 4)

Bild

Bild

I think I lose the roll and get to wacth as Teemu moves his stuff into position. Agonizer gets filled with fury again in order to mess with Scrapjack later on.

Bild

Scrappy goes to the middle of the board. Old Witch finds an unseen path, appears right behind him and feats catching all of my heavies and the gobbers in the field. Right now only the Bronzeback is in the left zone while nothing is contesting the right.

Bild

I move in with my heavies. They're used to the pain. The Brute even likes it and lets out a satisfied little sigh from behind his mask. Gobbers stay in place but conceals the beasts close to them.

Bild

Time for the Kossites to make an appearance. They trickle in on both of my flanks.

Bild

Bild

Decimator moves up and shoots both Karn and the Gladiator. I make him reroll on Karn but his dice will not fail and he's promptly pushed away. The Titan gets a shot as well but still contests the zone even after the push. On my other flank Scrappy slams the Bronzeback away but the Brute remains in good health. Kossites harass my poor Paingivers.

Payback time. Molik takes out a Manhunter that blocks the lane to the Decimator. The Gladiator gets rushed and enraged and goes for him. Fists and tusks fly but not hard enough to take him out. At least the sawblade is crippled. Bronzeback goes after the Ternion since Scrappy can't get any focus or is able to channel due to my Agonizer.

Bild

Teemu doesn't have a lot of options now. The Destroyer lobs in a boosted shot and the Kossites charge the Bronzeback without doing much damage with their dinky axes. On my turn the Gladiator finally finished the Decimator and Karn cleans up the remaining Greylords on the right giving me a scenario point. Morghoul claws the Kossites bogging down the Bronzeback to death and then sprints back.

Bild

The Old Witch moves to her right. Destoyer keeps doing his thing.

The Gladiator frenzies and charges the Destroyer but is way too short. Karn, who is a calm cyclops of a much more composed demeanor, go in to do some damage instead but not enough to take him out. In a final blaze of Glory, Grandma Khador charges Karn and puts him down before succumbing to the armoured fists of the Gladiator.

Bild

Bild

Lunchtime. Brother-in-arms Joakim admires the finnish architecture.

Bild

Match 6 vs. Janne Mikkola

Next up is Circle in Killbox, the closest thing corresponding to a finnish knife fight in Immoren. It's either Kromac or eKaya so I go with Morghoul again for his great feat against Hordes. Janne picks Kaya.

Kaya the Moonhunter & Laris
* Gnarlhorn Satyr
* Pureblood Warpwolf
* Warpwolf Stalker
Druids of Orboros (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Shifting Stones
* Stone keeper
War Wolf
(Tier 1)

Bild

Nothing much happens first round. He moves his stuff, I move my stuff (but not as far since I don't to have my face full of wolf before I'm ready for it).

Bild

Bild

Bonus pic of the Circle front brimming with sisu and fuckoff. My camera doesn't do the paintjob justice, they were gorgeous.

Bild

Janne moves up a little further and the Pureblood howls all over the Gladiator and Swamp Gobbers. Gobbers dodges but the Titan gets a little sore in the tusks.

Bild

There's no time like rushdown time! Morghoul moves up while keeping one toe in the underbrush for concealment, feats and Rush/Abuses the Titan. The Swamp Gobbers once again throws themselves in front of the beasts to protect more valuable pieces from counterslams and other misery.

Bild

Feralgeist runs up as well together with the Bronzeback. Finally the Gladiator goes for the Pureblood. I roll pretty well and after only two attacks the Feralgeist finds a new home while denying Kaya fury at the same time.

Bild

The rest follows. Agonizer with his STR debuff aura up and Molik through charge and a Fate Walker. All my stuff is well within the feat.

Also, another bonus pic of the Stone Warden.

Bild

Kaya retreats and uses her feat to pull her stuff out of the danger zone. The beasts punch my stuff but because of feat and Agonizer they are unable to do any significant damage. Pureblood goes down from the druids and Feralgeist is homeless again. Molik gets muzzled through Laris the barcnode and have to look at the carnage from a distance.

I press on. The Bronzeback has a lane to the Satyr and finishes him with a two-handed chain attack throw into the Stalker. Feralgeist moves into his new residence.

Bild

Gnarlhorn gets eaten by Laris and the Druids do short work of the suddenly evicted Feralgeist.

Bild

Bronzeback has Admonition but the stones tie him down and the Stalker moves in. Through sheer luck and bad rolls on Janne's part the Bronzeback remains standing with two or so boxes left. It seems that they can tank other heavies just fine but are allergic to low-cost solos.

Molik has a lane to Kaya via Side Step shenanigans and I decide to go for it. I don't realize the smoke from the druids give me a MAT debuff so when I finally get there I'm only able to land a single strike that gets transferred to the Stalker.

Bild

Bild

Stalkers goes in again to finish off Karn but just as he gets there time is called and I win on tiebreaker before the showdown can take place.

Bild

Match 7 vs. Matias Väätäinen

Final game of the tournament. I've been able to dodge all the Cryx players so far (they 9 I think out of 36) but now I'm matched against either Deneghra or eSkarre in Command and Control. I have a hard time choosing but finally pick Morghoul again since I reason that he's got a great counter feat against Skarre and can shut down arcnodes with the Agonizer. Deneghra and her Bane Thrall posse stare at me from the other side.

Warwitch Deneghra
* Defiler
* Nightwretch
* Nightwretch
* Skarlock Thrall
Bane Thralls (Leader and 9 Grunts)
* Bane Thrall Officer & Standard
The Withershadow Combine
Bane Lord Tartarus
Pistol Wraith
Warwitch Siren

I win the roll and opt to go first in order to have a topped off Agonizer by my second turn to avoid the awkwardness that comes with Parasite and Crippling Grasp.

I move up my stuff, nothing new. Karn takes up a position behind a wall to strike from.

Bild

Same for the deadites.

Bild

I move up my Agonizer just behind the Gobbers and activate his aura. I have a checklist in my head:

* Block LOS to Agonizer through smoke and large bases.
* Keep Brute nearby for shield guard.

I brainfart and do neither. Pistolwraith floats forward, shoots and both connect but doesn't do enough damge to get rid of him. A Nightwretch moves in to finish it but gets a reluctant counter charge from father Bronzeback that hits and does quite a lot of damage but leaves the node and movement intact. Two Thralls take the opportunity and charge him.

Bild

I can't hang back indefinitely so I push on. The Bronzeback Two-hand throws the bone chicken at Tartarus to knock him down and then gets rid of the Banes next to him. Gladiator tries to slam the other node over a few Banes but misses his attack. Molik advances with Admonition up. Since I'm so spread out now I use my Paingivers to clean the Bronzeback of fury instead of blocking LOS to the Agonizer.

Bild

This is where it starts to turn ugly. A node runs up, Denny feats and slaps a Grippling Grasp on Molik but comes just short of getting a Parasite on the Bronzeback. The Siren charges and even though I can make her reroll she now only needs sixes to hit so I blow my Admonition and try to hide behind the Gladiator. Agonizer falls to the Pistolwraith even with the protection of the Brute. Banes thunder in, kills the Bronzeback who is tag teamed in by the Feralgeist and the Gladiator gets it as well. Molik is also in a bad way.

Today I learned an important lesson about trying to tank Bane Thralls under Deneghra.

Bild

It looks a bit grim but I still have Karn at least. He gets a new Admonition and cleans up some Thralls. Paingivers try to tie down the Siren and the Bronzegeist takes care of the Bane officer. Brute shows the Pistolwraith that melee is much cooler than ranged by impaling him on his halberd.

Bild

I forgot to take a few pictures here, but the gist of it is that we trade blows until all my heavies are gone and I take out a few Banes in the process. Some turns later this is what I've got:

Bild

A Feralgeist, a Brute with very low health and a few Paingivers.

Next round everything is dead except for a fury empty Morghoul with two lives and a single Paingiver.

Bild

Morghoul charges the Skarlock out of desperation, takes it out and then sprints into contact with the node to tie him up. Matias allocates two focus, one for blast and one to boost damage, and moves away. I miss my desperate free strike and figure that's game.

Bild

And a miracle happens. The miracle of dice down. The only things in the zone now is Morghoul-kun and the Siren. Even after close measuring the chicken is outside and I take it on tiebreaker. Had time been called ten seconds earlier I would have lost with the node still in the zone, and had Matias had ten seconds more he would have blasted Morghoul to bits. By far the unluckiest timing I've ever seen.

Formally the victor in the last game, I'm 4-3 at the end of tournament which puts me in the 18th place out of 36. A german player takes the first with swede in the second place (go Daniel!). Third price and best painted went to the finns. Finns won 28 games against us swedes while we only took 19. I blame Erik.

We were all pretty exhausted after a weekend of fun, drinking and games (and fun drinking games) and hung around a bit before going back to the ferry for our return to glorious Sweden to celebrate a great tournament with sacks of loot in the form of tax-free booze.

Some props are in order:

* Huge thanks to TheEmu and the rest of the finnish crew for hosting such a great event. Communication and information was always speedy and clear both before the event and during.

* Umeå Crew for getting no less than six rabid players together, bringing the swedish team from a measly four fighters to a respectable ten.

* All my opponents. I had fun during all my matches and they felt very fair and sportsmanlike. Hope to see you again in the future!

Finally, here are some more pictures from the event of cool stuff I liked. The trolls in the beginning took home best painted.

Dumma, dumma Arlaharen! Nu är jag försenad till målarkvällen. :)
